ILLINOIS SOYBEAN ASSOCIATION PARTNERS WITH SOIL AND WATER OUTCOMES FUND

The Soil and Water Outcomes Fund has announced a new partnership with the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) and other groups to catalyze farmer adoption of conservation practices that generate verifiable carbon reductions and water quality improvements. In 2021 the Soil and Water Outcomes Fund will expand into Illinois starting in Bureau, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Lee, McHenry, and Will counties, targeting 20,000 acres of new conservation practice adoption.

This partnership is a component of ISA’s efforts to scale sustainable agriculture practices in a farmer-centric and outcomes-driven manner, and helps ISA demonstrate the value of sustainability to Illinois soybean farmers.

Farmers interested in enrollment should visit www.theoutcomesfund.com, contact Michael Gill, ISA Director of Conservation Ag, or contact their Nutrien Ag Solutions or Ingredion representative.

The Illinois Soybean Growers Political Action Committee (ISGPAC) is a key group that supports and advocates for the interests of Illinois soybean producers. The importance of our participation in the political process becomes very evident each time we consider our mission to support the most effective, most profitable soybean producers in the world. To do that, we influence key legislation that helps secure policies resulting in positive outcomes for our farms.

We cannot do this work alone. A new campaign, titled “Challenge 250” is calling for 250 donors to make $250 donations that will directly support ISG’s work to protect markets for our soybeans. Not only will these donations create meaningful opportunities for our leadership in Springfield and Washington D.C., but they will also ensure YOU have a voice in the future of Illinois farming.
Stand with us. Will YOU take the Challenge?

ISA BIODIESEL CAMPAIGN CONTINUES TO EVOLVE
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is welcoming a new era of biodiesel work in Illinois and recently rebranded its biodiesel program, rolling out new logos for both ISA Biodiesel and the B20 Club. The brand redesign reflects the new audiences that ISA is now targeting in our biodiesel efforts including farmers, communities, urban audiences and lawmakers. The rebrand represents how ISA’s biodiesel campaign continues to evolve and bring the message of a cleaner, more sustainable fuel that’s available now into new conversations.

For more information on biodiesel, be sure to check out the Life of Biodiesel 360 Experience, a virtual reality tool funded by the ISA soybean checkoff program, designed to show the entire lifecycle of biodiesel, from the field to the end user. Join us on Tuesday, March 9 at 12:00 p.m. CST for a sponsored presentation from Farmobile, “Emerging Market$ Are Here (Is your data ready?)”

Steve Cubbage, Farmobile vice president of services, and Jacob Winans, BRANDT technology agronomy information specialist, will lead a conversation on how farmers can work with their trusted partners and data technologies — now — to get data-ready.
